The Photographers
Jim completed both a BA and an MA in Biological
Science at California State University, Sacramento, and
has been a high school biology and chemistry teacher for
34 years.  Jim's interest in photography began in high
school, and this interest led him to enroll in  photography
courses in both high school and college. Jim has been a
nature photographer ever since and has used his
photographs to bring the world of biology to his
classroom. Jim started with 35 mm slides and has been
using a digital format in his classroom for the past 8
years. He has developed several lesson plans using
digital pictures which students study at the their own
pace in the classroom.
